FTTH fiber optic cable (also known as fiber optic cable, butterfly cable) is the key cable connecting optical network unit (ONU) and optical distribution network (ODN) in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. It has the characteristics of simple structure, lightweight and flexible, and easy laying. The following is a detailed introduction from the aspects of structure, classification, performance parameters and application scenarios
First, the parameters of FTTH fiber leather line mainly include fiber characteristics, mechanical properties, environmental performance, etc., as follows:
Fiber characteristics:
Second, fiber type: G.652D single-mode fiber is usually used, and some use G.657 small bending radius fiber, such as G.657A1/A2, to meet the bending requirements of different scenarios.
Third, attenuation coefficient: at 1310nm wavelength, the attenuation value generally does not exceed 0.36dB/km, at 1550nm wavelength, the attenuation value does not exceed 0.22dB/km, low attenuation can ensure long-distance transmission of optical signals.
Fourth, bandwidth: If it is G.652 fiber, the bandwidth at 1300nm wavelength is 1000MHZ · km, which can meet the requirements of high-speed data transmission.
Numerical aperture: common 50/125μm and 62.5/125 μm multimode fibers, the numerical aperture is 0.2000.015NA and 0.2750.015NA, respectively, affecting the optical fiber's ability to collect light.
Five, tensile strength: non-metallic reinforcement of the leather cable, long-term allowable tensile force of about 40N, short-term about 80N; metal reinforcement of the long-term allowable tensile force of about 100N, short-term about 200N, to ensure that the fiber is not damaged when laying.
Six, flattening force: non-metallic reinforcement of the cable long-term allowable flattening force of 500N/100mm, short-term 1000N/100mm; metal reinforcement of the cable long-term 1000N/100mm, short-term 2000N/100mm, can withstand a certain external extrusion.
seven, bending radius: static bending radius is generally not less than 15mm, dynamic bending radius is not less than 25mm, to ensure that the bending does not affect the optical signal transmission.
eight, optical cable weight: such as double core metal self-supporting butterfly introduction cable weight of about 21kg/km, lighter weight for construction and laying.
nine, working temperature: generally - 40 ℃ to 60 ℃, can work normally in a variety of environments.
ten, flame retardant performance: when the sheath is made of low smoke halogen-free flame retardant material, it has good flame retardancy, through a single vertical combustion test, in line with environmental requirements, suitable for indoor and other places that require fire safety
